The College of Pharmacy at Western New England University invites applications for a faculty position in Pharmacology at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences.  The position is a 12 month tenure-track appointment that offers an exciting opportunity to participate in the growth of an integrated and innovative learner-centered academic program. Expertise in neuropharmacology, especially neuroendocrine or psychopharmacology is preferred, although applicants with expertise in reproductive or gastrointestinal pharmacology may also be considered. 

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in pharmacology and postdoctoral experience from an accredited university/college, and would ideally be familiar with pharmacy education with either a degree in pharmacy (B.S. or Pharm.D.) or a background in teaching and research in a college/school of pharmacy. Candidates who have already attained the rank of Associate or Professor are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will teach in the professional Pharm.D. program and will be expected to pursue research and scholarly activity along with appropriate service to the College of Pharmacy, University and community.  Additionally, the candidate will possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, a desire to create a culture of academic success, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

The College of Pharmacy has successfully enrolled two classes of professional students and has achieved Candidate Accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. The College of Pharmacy is housed in the Center for the Sciences and Pharmacy, which opened in January 2011, providing cutting edge teaching and research facilities.   The hired applicant will bring the number of faculty in the department to 13 members from the various disciplines.
