美国加州大学旧金山分校2018年招聘博士后(免疫学/分子生物学相关领域)
A post doctoral position is available immediately at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) to study autoimmunity and break of immunological tolerance, with a primary focus on B cells. The Schjerven lab is located at the Parnassus campus of UCSF and is part of a large and active immunology community. Mentoring and collaboration are core values across the UCSF campus, providing an excellent environment for postdoctoral training. Our lab studies normal and malignant immune cell development and function, with a focus on the role of regulatory transcription factors. We use in vivo mouse models, flow cytometry, immunological methods, cell culture for functional assays, Cas9-mediated gene manipulations, and genome-wide expression profiling (RNA-Seq). Members in our lab works on projects ranging from immune cell development, leukemia and autoimmunity, and the main focus of this Post Doc position is to investigate break of B-cell tolerance in one of our mouse models. The postdoctoral fellow will also be expected to contribute to other team-work efforts in lab, and will have opportunities for participation in external collaborations, as well as mentoring of student interns and junior lab members as part of career development.
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a Ph.D. degree in a relevant area of biology (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, hematology, autoimmunity) who has a strong interest in academic research. Basic knowledge of immunology is required, as well as previous experience with work with mouse models. In addition, experience with the following methods will be preferred: Flow Cytometry, Immunological methods, cell culture, general molecular biology. Experience with high throughput sequencing and bioinformatics analysis will be beneficial, but is not required. The candidate needs to be able to work independently and in a collaborative team, as well as being able to multitask, and present their research in both oral presentations and written reports.
Required Qualifications:
• A Ph.D. in immunology, molecular biology, or a relevant biological science.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
To apply, please send CV, including list of publications and names and contact info for 3 references, together with a letter of motivation to Hilde.Schjerven (at) ucsf.edu with the Subject “Post Doc in Immunology”.
The advertisement is posted for 2 months (60 days) but to ensure consideration, interested candidates should submit their application before January 7th. Thereafter, applicants will be evaluated on a rolling basis, until position is filled.
